S-Works Transition
Completely redesigned to meet the demands of world-class riders like Ironman Germany winner Chris McCormack and QuickStep-Innergetic's Tom Boonen, the S-Works Transition is the fastest and most technologically advanced bike we've ever made. Our engineers looked for every aerodynamic advantage possible including a true airfoil downtube and seat stays, a turbulence reducing scallop behind the stem, elegant frame and fork interface, integrated braking system and four-position seat post.
# Integrated FACT Fork. Designed with data from the wind tunnel and feedback from top riders, the Transition's FACT monocoque carbon fork has been designed to create minimal drag while offering stable and dependable handling. Turbulence is minimized thanks to the aero profile of the fork blades, unique crown shape, small diameter steerer tube and a truly integrated frame and fork interface.
# S-Works Brake System. The Transition features an integrated front and rear brake system that has been designed in concert with the FACT carbon chassis to ensure maximum aerodynamics and control. The rear brake is tucked under the bottom bracket to minimize exposure to the wind. Because they were designed to work exclusively with the Transition, the integrated braking system also enhances control and safety.
# Ultra Aerodynamic Frame. Thanks to hours spent refining and testing the shape of the Transition's FACT carbon frame in MIT's Wright Brothers wind tunnel and on the road with Team Gerolsteiner, our engineers arrived at what could be the fastest chassis on the market. Extremely narrow downtube and seat stays minimize drag through the use of a true airfoil shape, while a small diameter 1-inch steer is used in the FACT carbon fork to minimize frontal area.
# Another result of time in the MIT windtunnel, the Transition's FACT carbon seat and chainstays have been shaped and positioned to minimize frontal area. The design of the stays allows them to be tucked behind the seat tube. Thanks to our complete control over the design and manufacture of the entire FACT carbon frame, the Transition also handles quickly and dependably, even when the rider is in an extreme position.
# S-Works Pavé Aero 4-Position Seatpost. Created just for the new Transition frame, the 4-position Pavé post enhances ergonomics and aerodynamics. Over 100mm of lateral adjustment ensures that every rider is positioned for maximum comfort and pedaling efficiency, making against-the-clock efforts both fast and as pain-free as possible. The Pavé Aero's foil shape and clean interface with the frame helps make the Transition one of the most aerodynamic bikes on the market. Our proprietary FACT carbon construction keeps the Pavé Aero light, yet completely reliable. |
