|2016 Garneau Gennix A1 Elite|
By designing the Gennix A1, we wanted to create a frame that would be as stiff as our R series, but much faster.
Thanks to technologies stemming from the aeronautic industry, we were able to reinforce the frame in key places and thin it where possible. The A1 is therefore as stiff as it is light.
Several concepts allow the Gennix A1 to reduce air resistance. The bike is closer to the ground so that the rider’s body is less exposed to wind. The fork is extra wide to avoid air being trapped between the front wheel and the fork. Air flows freely towards the water bottles, which have also been taken into consideration upon designing the frame. Finally, the rear wheel is close to the frame to reduce turbulence to a minimum.
All these innovations present on the frame are securely joined together by an 86 millimeter bottom bracket.
The Gennix A1 is therefore stiff, lightweight, comfortable, and above all, very, very fast.
